Once upon a time all tea consumed was ground into a powder and then whisked in with hot water. This tradition fell out of China, where it originated, but lived on in Japan. Today matcha is used in everything from Japanese tea ceremonies to baking. Eli Tea Japanese Imperial Matcha is a premium 10 – 16 micron grade of matcha. To create and even brew, vigorously whisk in ¼ tea spoon of matcha with two spoons of water. Add additional water until the cup is full. For a latte experience, add steamed milk and honey.
