In the English language, Chai is predominantly used as a reference to masala chai (spiced tea). However, there are many different blends of chai composed of spices from across the world. When creating the Eli Tea proprietary chai blends I have put much effort into studying the various spices used to create the chai blends to create authentic chai blends. For example: in the Eli Tea Indian Masala, Masala Chai outer bark Ceylon cinnamon is used rather than the sweet Indonesia cinnamon (where much of the tea industry, unfortunately, use analogously).
